"This initiative reflects our continued commitment to people-centered development — equipping residents with certified skills that enhance employability, mobility, and economic opportunity."
The Office of Hon. Mwangi Nyagah, MCA and Majority Leader of the Nyandarua County Assembly, has officially launched the Driving Training Empowerment Program — a structured, ward-supported initiative designed to empower residents through practical, income-generating skills.
The first cohort comprises 41 ward participants drawn from across the community, marking a significant milestone in our skills empowerment agenda. Beneficiaries will receive comprehensive training covering road safety knowledge, practical driving instruction, and access to official licensing — opening pathways into transport, logistics, and self-employment.
This program is aligned with the broader county development vision under the leadership of H.E. the Governor, emphasising inclusive growth, dignity, and opportunity for all. As an office, our focus remains clear — delivering tangible impact through both human capacity development and by addressing the long-standing infrastructure challenges affecting our people.
The driving training initiative forms part of a wider empowerment framework being implemented by this office. Additional phases and expanded programs are already being planned to ensure that more residents benefit from similar — and even higher-impact — opportunities.
— Hon. Mwangi Nyagah, MCA & Majority Leader
We encourage all residents who were not part of the current intake to remain engaged with this office and community structures. More empowerment initiatives will continue to be rolled out in a structured and inclusive manner, ensuring no one is left behind.
